and then there was study...

Soooo what did I do today....

Today I started the day with Mass which was sooooo good :) Best way to start the day I must say!

I started to clean my room which again was good! I'm making an effort to get rid of things I don't need, slowly but surely I am getting a more reasonable amount of possessions. I mean if I get married it's not like I can be keeping a mountain load of stuff from when I was two...and likewise if I become a nun, I don't own anything! :D so it's definitely a win win situation haha

And then I remembered...I need to study for exams! :O but heyyy, pray, hope & don't worry I say ;)

But seriously, I didn't do any study today and in 2 days I have an exam :/ now that is just slightly bad...here I am striving for sainthood and I'm putting off something that is definitely my duty in life at the moment.

So I decided tonight I should study, I still haven't started and it's 11pm soooo I'm not sure how far I will get. Tomorrow I'll get it done ;)

(I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one out there with such major procrastination skills?? surely?? haha)

In other news:

I'm continuing to pray! Just hoping to build on this more and more over the next few weeks.

I think St Therese is officially my new favourite Saint! - I'm praying to her at the moment...so hopefully she will hear my prayer :)

I want to learn more about St Bonaventure as well...

Oh, we are also looking after chicks at the moment...the mother was taken by a chicken hawk :( Will post some photos soon!

Anyways I should go and do some study!

P.S. Pray for me! :D

where is my life headed...

So, I've been away for the past week to a beautiful country town north of Perth, Toodyay.
We stayed at the Friary there - http://www.marygateofheaven.com/

It was so peaceful and beautiful. I can't wait to go back! I just loved having the chance to spend time in reflection and prayer, with daily Mass and adoration whenever you wanted...truly amazing!

Over the week it got me thinking a lot...and praying a lot...

Where is my life headed...????

I've always been confused as to my vocation in life, I feel I could be called to anything really! It's like one moment I'm getting married...and the next I am sooooo becoming a nun....or even single life! I just wish there was a way I could incorporate them all...hmmm maybe I should just lap up the time I have now of being single and then get married and become a third order religious...yep, that could work ;)

But in all honesty I can that if your a Catholic...and young...finding your vocation is probably the hardest decision to make. It's a killer for me! Having complete trust in God and giving over to His Will takes an enormous amount of courage, especially when it may be to something you really don't want to do.

Pray, hope & don't worry! That's basically what I should be doing! But it's sooooo hard! :/

Keep me in your prayers...and I will keep you in mine :) That is if anyone has found my blog...and reads it yet haha

God Bless! & Ave Maria!

Pray, hope & don't worry! - Padre Pio

Thursday, June 2, 2011

and so it begins....

The first post of my new blog...what to say?!

Maybe a bit about me?

Well, I'm Catholic, studying philosophy, theology & communications, with the hopes of doing high school teaching :) and I'm a girl! :D

Ok so my motto to life...pray, hope & don't worry - padre pio.

Nearly everything I do results in me saying, "Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to pray, hope and don't worry!" It's so true though... Pray for the grace to get through certain trials, or even just the day in general :) Hope, or act upon your prayer and the grace given to you, do not stand idle... and lastly Don't Worry! Quite simply, leave it all in God's hands...don't worry about it...ultimately if you are doing all that you can do and are praying for grace then leave the rest to God!

So a very short intro (I have to go clean the house haha)...but I'll have more to come!

Ave Maria!
